Amara Cay Resort is among one the many nice resorts located in Islamorada. The resorts pier and boat launch were damaged during Hurricane Irma. Amara Cay called for our company’s services in making a new pier and boat ramp. The work consisted of demolishing and disposing of the previous concrete pier. Removing and replacing (17) mooring piles, installing (10) pier support pylons, and installing sub stringers, stringers, and decking. We subgraded the boat launch area and filled it with stone to create a smooth base. We then placed a concrete mat block system on top of the prepared subgrade then framed and poured concrete to make the boat launch transition smoothly from the exiting drive surface.
